What to bring

Your half day trip will begin at the designated launch/port. We will coordinate a specific time to meet. There isn't really a need to arrive much earlier than the agreed upon time. Once on board, we will shove off and go over the safety protocol as we idle through the harbor. We have type 1 life preservers for everyone, 2- marine radios, gps, flares, PLB, first aid kit and all required USCG equipment. We volunteer our vessel to a USCG inspection annually to ensure we follow the newest of safety criteria. We do have an enclosed cabin for protection from the elements.

Things included:

  • There will be an onboard cooler for drinks/food, however you are welcome to bring your own. Please limit size of coolers to lunchbox size.

  • ALL necessary safety gear.

  • Rods, reels, tackle, nets and all other fishing gear is provided.

  • We will clean the catch, and prepare it in bags for transit.

Things you should consider bringing:

  • Warm clothing, as the weather on the Great Lakes is typically cooler than inland (home) temps.

  • Raingear if the forecast looks wet.

  • Cooler in your vehicle to bring home your catch.

  • Sunscreen

  • Drinks/snacks as needed. (Beer is ok, but please leave the hard alcohol/drugs at home)

  • Fishing license. (You will need a Great Lakes Trout and Salmon stamp along with a regular fishing license.)

  • Dramamine or something equivalent if you are unsure of motion sickness. (Try to take first dose 1 hour prior to scheduled trip)
